The single step in troubleshooting any Siri-related problem.
You may reset Siri on your Apple device if it doesn’t recognize your voice very well or if you just can’t get “Hey Siri” to function. By doing this, you can improve Siri’s ability to recognize your voice. You’ll learn how to accomplish it from us.
Resetting Siri on Your iPhone or iPad
Sadly, Apple does not have a “Reset” button just for Siri. When necessary, you can reset Siri with a straightforward option in the iOS/iPadOS Settings app. Take these actions:
1. Take a look at the Settings app on your iPad or iPhone.
2. After swiping down, choose Siri & Search.
3. Choose the Off setting by tapping the Listen for setting located at the top.
After a short while, choose between “Siri,” “Hey Siri,” and “Hey Siri” based on your personal choice.
4. You will be prompted to set up Siri from scratch when you do this.
5. One by one, repeat the phrases that show up on your screen by tapping Continue.
To get Siri to recognize your voice again, you’ll need to repeat five sentences. Following your repetition of the previous sentence, a “Siri Is Ready” screen will appear. After selecting Done, carry on utilizing Siri in the same manner.
Resetting Siri on Your Mac
On your Mac, you can reset Siri with equal ease. The procedure is quite similar because macOS’s System Settings program is used. This is what you must do:
1. Select System Settings from the dropdown menu by clicking the Apple logo in the menu bar. Or, open System Preferences on your Mac using any other method.
2. Choose Siri & Spotlight from the left sidebar by swiping down.
3. When a confirmation pop-up appears, toggle off the Ask Siri setting located at the top on the right side by selecting Turn Off.
4. After a little while, toggle Get Siri to turn back on.
5. Now select “Siri” or “Siri” or “Hey Siri” from the Listen for setting directly below.
6. A pop-up requesting that you configure Siri from scratch will appear. To repeat each of the five phrases that appear one by one, click Continue.
And that’s it! On your Mac, you’ve successfully reset Siri.
This is only one of several methods you should take to troubleshoot your Apple device if Siri isn’t working. When adjusting other Siri settings isn’t working, you can try this as a last resort.
Using the “Siri” or “Hey Siri” trigger phrase should be easy to use to summon Apple’s virtual assistant after you reset and retrain Siri to recognize your voice.
