Before it’s too late, use this method to get rid of the water from your iPhone speakers.
Many users take their iPhones swimming or into the shower, even though it’s not recommended and this results in water getting inside the speaker. Fortunately, you can remove water from your iPhone’s speakers in a number of easy and inexpensive ways.
Use the Water Eject Shortcut on Your iPhone
First, confirm that your iPhone is running the Shortcuts app. Since Shortcuts is an Apple native program, you can get it from the program Store for free if you don’t already have it.
Next, download Water Eject, a useful iPhone shortcut. To download the shortcut to the Shortcuts app, select Add Shortcut on the webpage.
Here’s how to use the shortcut after it has been added successfully:
1. Navigate to the Shortcuts tab after opening the Shortcuts app.
2. To launch Water Eject, tap its shortcut.
3. Click on Start.
4. Selecting the Intensity Level will be required of you. Depending on how much water may have gotten inside your iPhone speaker, decide what seems appropriate. Higher intensity produces superior outcomes. The volume bar is now visible on the left side of the screen.
5. Your iPhone will start to play a unique sound to force water out of its speakers when the volume is set to 100%.
There will be a “ding” sound to indicate the completion of the water discharge. The shortcut will now ask you to log into the Wikimedia website. Click the Don’t Allow button.
In order to have rapid access to the shortcut in an emergency, you can choose to add it to your Home Screen. On the Water Eject shortcut, tap the three dots icon, then tap the Share icon (a box with an arrow), choosing Add to Home Screen.
Other Ways to Eject Water From Your iPhone’s Speakers
You can also attempt a few third-party tools if you think the Water Eject shortcut is insufficient to remove water from your iPhone’s speaker.
Sonic
You can change the sound’s frequency using the Sonic app; the range is 0 Hz to 25 kHz. To start ejecting water from your iPhone’s speakers after adjusting the frequency, touch the Start button on the Cleaner tab.
Fix My Speakers
To play the tone required to remove water from your iPhone’s speakers, visit the Fix My Speakers website if you would rather not download a shortcut or app on your phone. To make the sound, simply tap the button that displays the wind and water droplets emoji.
What to Avoid When Your iPhone Speaker Is Wet
If you drop your iPhone into water by accident, the speakers will get wet. The method of drying out wet smartphones and tablets by immersing them in rice may immediately come to mind when you’re trying to save a damp one.
That’s only a fiction, though. Actually, the microscopic particles could enter your iPhone and harm it in different ways. That’s just one of the reasons your iPhone shouldn’t be dried with rice. Moreover, wait till your iPhone is entirely dry before using it.
If the situation is not too serious, you should be able to remove water from your iPhone’s speakers with ease using the Fix My Speaker website, Sonic app, or Water Eject shortcut. Moving forward, keep in mind that your iPhone is not waterproof; rather, it is just water-resistant. As such, you shouldn’t immerse it in water, leave it in the sink, or use it for other wet activities.
Unfortunately, it’s advised to take your iPhone to a nearby Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for hardware repairs if it’s already exhibiting a number of indications of water damage.
