can you see your twitter dms after deactivation

Twitter Direct Messages (DMs) are private messages between users on Twitter. They allow you to have a one-on-one conversation with another Twitter user without the rest of the world seeing it. DMs are a great way to have more personal and intimate conversations with other Twitter users, and to get to know each other better.

To use Twitter DMs, simply click on the “Message” icon on another user’s Twitter profile. You can also access your own DMs by clicking on the “Messages” tab in your Twitter menu. Once you have sent a DM, you and the recipient can continue to message each other as long as both of you have the Twitter app open and are signed in. You can also see all of your previous DMs in your message inbox, so you can go back and review them whenever you like.

DMs are private, so use them wisely. Don’t use DMs to send spam or inappropriate content. Additionally, be respectful and professional when using DMs. Remember that the person on the other end of the message is a real person, not just a username. If you’re not sure what to say or how to start a DM conversation, try asking the person a question or complimenting something they’ve posted on Twitter. This can help to break the ice and start a conversation.

Twitter DMs are a great way to connect with other Twitter users and have private conversations. Whether you’re using DMs for business or personal purposes, make sure to use them appropriately and respect the privacy of others.

Can You See Your Twitter DMs After Deactivation?

When you deactivate your Twitter account, all of your data, including your tweets, followers, likes, and direct messages (DMs), are deleted from the Twitter system. This means that you will not be able to access your DMs or any other information related to your account once it has been deactivated. The data cannot be retrieved or restored.

If you have important information stored in your DMs, it’s a good idea to save it before deactivating your account. You can do this by copying and pasting the text of your DMs into a text editor, or by taking screenshots of the messages. This will ensure that you have a record of your DMs even if your Twitter account is deactivated.

Additionally, if you deactivate your account by accident or if you change your mind, you have 30 days to reactivate your account. During this time, all of your data will be restored, including your DMs. After 30 days, however, your account and all of its data will be permanently deleted.

Once your Twitter account is deactivated, you will not be able to see your DMs or any other information related to your account. It’s a good idea to save important information from your DMs before deactivating your account to ensure that you have a record of it.

How to recover your Twitter data

If you’ve deactivated your Twitter account and want to recover your data, here are the steps you can follow:

  • Go to the Twitter website: Open a web browser and navigate to the Twitter website.
  • Log in: Enter your username and password to log in to your Twitter account. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking on the “Forgot password” link.
  • Reactivate your account: Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see an option to reactivate your account. Follow the prompts to reactivate your account and restore your data, including your tweets, followers, likes, and DMs.
  • Wait for the reactivation process to complete: Reactivating your account may take several minutes to complete. Once it’s done, your data will be restored and you’ll be able to access your DMs again.

If you’ve waited more than 30 days after deactivating your account, your data will have been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

If you’re having trouble reactivating your account or if you have any questions about the process, you can contact Twitter Support for assistance.

How to block someone on Twitter

To block someone on Twitter, follow these steps:

  • Go to the profile of account you’d like to block: Click on the person’s username to go to their profile page.
  • Click three dots: In the top right corner of their profile, you will see three dots. Click on these dots.
  • Select “Block”: From the drop-down menu, select “Block.”
  • Confirm block: You will be prompted to confirm the block. Click “Block” to confirm the action.

Once you’ve blocked someone on Twitter, they will not be able to see your tweets, follow you, or send you DMs. They will also be unable to add you to lists or tag you in photos. If you decide to unblock someone, simply go to their profile, click the three dots, and select “Unblock.”
